Hello and Farewell: Vroom Journal Moves to New Web Site

30 March 2006

On April 1st or shortly thereafter,TheLittleCity.com and LittleCityJournal will be departing cyberspace. After six years owner John Wells wants to move on to other projects and so is ending [for now] both web sites. As the primary content provider, I decided to move all the content I provided to those two web sites and create a central location for all of it. At VroomJournal.com you will find six years worth of content about the Visual Arts in Seattle. The Visual Art News pod cast ART RADIO SEATTLE will also be hosted on the site. Photo essays by me and selected guests are also a feature. New to this web site is a comprehensive index of all of the articles. All the 20 Vroom Projects from the earliest days of web publishing are archived in their own area. Every class syllabus from the six years I taught at Cornish College of the Arts [1996-2002] are featured in their own section. Also new are the 100 + VR digital panoramas of exhibitions, landscapes, highways and byways of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. The video section includes the documentation shot by Sean Frego for the burning of the paper plane from the SuperFlat exhibition which was shown at the Henry. We are looking into ways to monetize the site so that it can sustain itself. In the next few days as more components are finished, I hope you check back in to watch our progress

Until the I wish you well
